Today (July 1st 2013) is the last day to get your feeds off of Google Reader. I was a big fan of the product since it allowed me to browse the web without going to a bunch of random web sites. I’ve since moved to Twitter for this, simply by following to the right sites that I want information from. But for those of you who still want that RSS feel I suggest the new Digg Reader or Flipboard. Both have apps for your mobile devices but Digg stands above Flipboard to me because it also allows you to browse your feed on the web with the same shortcuts that Google Reader used. Flipboard definitely has a better look and magazine feel which is why I am a big fan of that app so if presentations matters more than the data itself you’ll probably want Flipboard. Either way, if you still care about your Google Reader feeds July 1st 2013 is your last chance to move them out to another service… that hopefully won’t randomly close on you too.
